Target announced the launch of its paid membership program, Target Circle 360, following in the footsteps of competitors like Amazon and Walmart. The program, set to debut in early April, will cost $99 per year with a promotional rate of $49 per year until May 18. Members will enjoy perks such as unlimited free same-day delivery for orders over $35, two free-day shipping, and other benefits aimed at boosting online sales and improving profits. Target aims to leverage the program to enhance customer convenience and increase e-commerce business through partnerships with Shipt for home deliveries.

In addition to the paid membership program, Target is revamping its free Target Circle loyalty program and credit card to offer more personalized discounts and benefits. The company’s strategic move aligns with the success of membership models in driving sales for retailers like Amazon and Walmart. By adapting to changing consumer preferences and emphasizing the value of home delivery, Target seeks to attract more online orders and enhance customer loyalty in a competitive retail landscape.
