KFC launched a new spinoff concept called Saucy, which focuses on offering a variety of sauces, chicken tenders, and creative beverages. The first location opened in Orlando on December 23. Saucy features 11 unique sauces, inspired by KFC’s signature 11 herbs and spices, which can be paired with hand-breaded, made-to-order chicken tenders. The sauces range from Chimichurri Ranch to Sweet Teriyaki, allowing customers to experiment with over 4,000 possible flavor combinations. In addition to tenders, the menu includes sandwiches, sides like crinkle cut fries, and desserts such as chocolate mousse and key lime cake, alongside a selection of refreshing beverages.
The restaurant also incorporates technology to ensure the tenders are served fresh and hot, with an app offering 20 points of personalization for customer preferences. Saucy features kiosk ordering, mobile pickup, and a drive-thru lane. The concept also plans to provide live entertainment to enhance the dining experience. With future locations planned, KFC sees Saucy as an opportunity to innovate with new, trend-inspired sauces, creating a unique, sauce-focused dining experience. This launch follows a similar trend from Taco Bell, which recently introduced the Live Más Café, a beverage-focused concept.
