Costco Wholesale Corp. experienced robust sales growth in March, reporting a net increase of 8.6% to $25.51 billion during the five-week period ending April 6. The company’s total comparable sales climbed 6.4%, with a 7.5% rise in the U.S. and 4.1% in Canada. Internationally, comparable sales grew by 2.9%. E-commerce also showed significant improvement, with comparable sales increasing by 16.2%. The calendar shift due to Easter added an extra shopping day, contributing roughly 1.5% to the total and comparable sales figures. 

For the first 31 weeks of the fiscal year, Costco’s net sales increased by 8.3%, reaching $158.87 billion, while comparable sales surged by 16.8%. As of March, Costco operates 903 locations worldwide, which includes 623 in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, as well as several in Canada, Mexico, Japan, and other countries. The company also maintains e-commerce platforms across various nations, further bolstering its sales growth in the digital sector.
